i met them last year up around coxtor area then joined them for the rest of their walk i wasn't even at 100 at the time i think they where around 9000 so it's fair to say i learned quite a lot that day :D i think i have their email address somewhere but would need to dig it out let me know if nobody...

there where a few from saturday but none foolhardy enough to have done it yesterday, i did read a couple of pages but put it back quite quickly as the rain started coming in :(

Thanks all i saw the leat leading around to the stone wall as i was driving out of whiteworks and thought that was probably a much better way to get there didn't even look on the way in as the map showed a proper route across. I did get around the swancombe side of the mire but as you say it is quit...

Sounds like nature has reclaimed it then, i tried passing it to east and had to cross a couple of streams and some quite marshy ground, but i was running out of daylight so had to head back.
I think next time i will go around the west side of it and while i am over there have a look for the old track.

I went out to have a bit of a walk over to fox tor today as it is one place i have never been and saw on my map that there was a bridleway/footpath that ran across the middle of the bog, does it still exist or has the bog reclaimed it as i could'nt seem to find it :(

No i have'nt been back out there yet must do at some point though as it's a nice area with some good views and more importantly has a nice pub to finish at for a beer :-)

Went out for my first walk of the new year today across to cramber and crazy well pool then followed the leat back to the car and on to princetown for a swift pint of tribute only found 1 box but my god it's good to be back on the moors again must remember to get some fleece lined winter walking tro...

no it was definatley 19 boxes then 1 pint and i decided to drive up to the gate from the pub and went on to get 14 more boxes so i have a healthy start on my way towards 200 now :D i wont be driving up that track again i saw other cars parked up by the gate but its much rougher than it looks does an...

off for a few hours today so hope to be in the 100s by the time i come back but as i have allready found out you never know what you will find :) i have tried to get a few boxes with some clues i have been given but don't seem to be having too much success with those so will need a lot more practice...

i have allready been to the pew heckwood feather tor area and have done a quite a few of the other tors on the south moor

i am going to brat this weekend and will be starting and finishing at the pub so it can't possibly go wrong :D
