Just to inform everyone of a Walking Festival held near Langport, Somerset.
The event is held over the weekend 12th & 13th June, and starts from Huish Episcopi Senior School, near Langport.
The event is run as part of the British Walking Federation's series of events.
There are a choice of distances to walk on each of the 2 days, ranging from 5km to 42km. Badges and certificates are awarded on completion.
Entry fees are payable. See link for details.
The walks take you through some beautiful countryside around the Somerset Levels.
Camping is available at Bowdens Crest campsite, with trasnsport provided to the start (£1). An excellent campsite with fine views over the Levels. The site has all facitlities you may need. See web site - Bowdens Crest.
There are other types of accommodation available in the area.
