Rain gauges

I stumbled across a rain gauge a little while back. Just wondered if there are any more on the moors and there location. Can any body help me. Message me if you want.

I'm heading that way next Sunday. Parking below lynch tor. Doing a nice circular walk and will be siting letter boxes along the way. Hope you have a good walk with plenty of finds

The seeker throwleigh common

On the way back from work popped up shill stone tor came across above box. Lid of pill pot broken . Stamp ok . No book. Anybody got any further info about box please.

Thanks for your reply sowerby streaker. Good luck when you go out that way. I may go back out there again in the summer. I want to get some stamps made up for the moors. Do you know anybody that does acrillyic stamps?

Went out today from nuns cross farm, headed out over hand hill to crane hill then on to ducks pool. After a short lunch headed to fox tor and back to car above nuns cross. Glad I'm not the only one. I too have in the last 18 months got back into it , now have kids of my own and try and get up there as much as I can. The wife is not a big fan of letter boxing. Only about 250 away from 2000 . Sad I know but I enjoy it and is one of my outlets in a stressful life. Russ. ...

Yes. Rectangular in shape. " South dartmoor 1983" at the bottom. "Crane hill" at the top and a crane on the right hand side. Hope this helps.

At 6s and 7s

I have restored this stamp as I found it recently water damaged. Will be putting it back out soon near to where I found it, with new book and container. This box is not mine and did put on here whose stamp it was but had no reply. So will be putting back out on the moor for more letter boxers to fin...

At 6s and 7s

Found today while out and about. Tub had been melted by swaying, book sodden but stamp is ok. Anybody got any ideas who owns this box? If not I will put it back out my self in a couple of weeks with new book and container.
