Be careful out there!

I know most of you are more experienced and would always be sensible whilst up on the Moor but I just came accross this on the local BBC news site: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/6219149.stm Always worth reminding folks that the Moor is a hostile environment, especially at this time of yea...

Not yet, i'm suffering from that dreaded Christmas problem of being ill. I've got a pretty good imune system so i'm fighting it off quite well, I just feel a bit cold all the time and so tense up causing lower back and knees etc to hurt.

The Moor isn't the best place for me at the moment.

So there are boxes up there then? Must try to get back there agin soon.

Fortunately i'm not working too much between Christmas and New Year so may get a day or 2 up on the Moor.

We tend not to use the clues, we just pick an area of the Moor and go wandering about.

I think we might have to invest in one of those GPS things though, they certainly seem to help.

I do apologies folks but it's looking remarkably unlikely that we will be siting our Christmas box this year, we just can't find any time between now and Christmas to get up onto the Moor.

If we do find the time, i'l let you all know and pm you the clues.

The other one will be somewhere pretty close so we can get them both up and off on the...

Yes, we always put one up for Christmas and also one at Easter. They go up for abut 3-4 weeks in total and generally somewhere pretty close to a car park to give children half a chance of finding it.

It is very close, I must admit I was expecting that using ammunition boxes would have been a bit more popular.

Welcome to the forum Cazzibear. Have a good look at this website: http://www.userfriendly-devon.com/100club/index.html Part of this website states for registering boxes: "To have your letterbox registered and entered into the Catalogue and Updates, please send the details to Tony Moore." T...
