Hi Duckpool. I've run to Fur Tor from Holming Beam a couple of times. Why I did it again, I've no idea as it was a leg-sapping tussocky nightmare the first time too.....

Could be easier walking, though. Fantastic atmosphere.

Didn't spot a hi viz, but my dog is permanently caked in clarts so it may have been me. We were there round about the same time I reckon. Glad you enjoyed your Dartmoor trip. Apart from when it's covered in snow, this is the best time of year to see it.

Yes, the Highwayman's is one of a kind. I go in there when I'm feeling brave enough, and never alone........ :shock:
