Selling your compass! I hope your not giving up the moors just because your going back to sea! Either that or your relying on your GPS to much! :)

Hi there! A BIG welcome from me to! There are many places to go letterboxing and be able to get loads of stamps in one day! Go through some of the older posts and you will get some ideas on where to go.

I don't know if there are some courses that give you qualifications on navigation but it's worth it if you wish to teach it or for experience and knowledge.

Hi Paul, yep a little rough out there for a walk this weekend but I'm sure there will be plenty of occassions to get out onto those lovely open moors.

Love the web site, very well designed!

I can't get my little brain around why someone has to do these things, to spoil the enjoyment of a very healthy hobby and to ruin the chances of a charity making a little money. The more the charity has to replace the stamps, the less money they are going to make . Eventually we may find fewer and f...

jjpage I don't think trekkernod would have said this if he knew it was you so please don't be offended with his comments. We all seem to get a little paranoid when boxing on the moors as we don't know the other people in the area and what they are up to. I know I get this way, but I do try to say a...

Dizzy are all your stamps in the book? Yes they are, but Crafty Jo and myself will be making a WOM set of stamps (12) after the New Year which we have already designed, they are lovely detailed images, the subject will remain a secret but definately Dartmoor based. We will pass on the clues to sele...

Well done, it's best to pull these kind of boxes off the moors as they just end up being litter.

DIZZY SERIES – DON’T PLAY WITH THE PONIES! Missing!

Hi all, just to let you know we checked on all my Dizzy boxes just a little away from Bonehill Rocks and to find that one of the stamps is missing. The box and book was there but the stamp has sadly gone into someones pocket. It's possible a letterboxer has put it in their bag by mistake as all my o...

Sadly I cannot see the letterbox thief leaving their name and address, more so a fictitious one if asked. Any box or boxes that need to be made public cannot avoid the possibility of a letterboxing thief stealing them, so this is a chance we all have to take. Maybe as previously discussed reducing t...

Compasses can be funny little things, they can last you for many many years or suddenly a bubble appears in the middle of it and will then put the bearings off a little. One of my old sighting compasses for my fourteen years of letterboxing had to be x-filed into the dustbin after all these years du...
