Orglory

Post by Kenton Kestrel »

When out yesterday doing the RNLI charity walk I came across a hand cut stamp around 527 779 which was a skull and crossbones with 'orglory' within it.

Does anyone know who put this out and what the box is called?

I found the same box while doing the same walk. Given the skull and crossbones and the fact that there was a number 12 on the box, I have put it in my records as "Death or Glory No.12", but that's only a guess and I don't know who it belongs to.
Patience helps....

I have done the same. I wondered whether it had a military connection indicative of a military badge with death or glory on it. I will try and research that further.

That research didn't take long, it is the cap badge (motto) of the Queen's Royal Lancers.

Having said that I still don't know what it is called or who put it out so any help would be great.

Think you will find this has been left out from a Charity walk a few years back. I also found one with crossed swords and a crown in the middles. Box had No:8 on it and was very close to walk box 8.

Hi,
The box in question is one that was put out by the 'Furry Dancers' as part of a series of Regimental Badges.
Regimental Badges No.12 - The Queens Royal Lancers.

It was one of 3, of the series, I failed to find when out that way a few years back.
