I fund 2 parts of a multi part stamp both near staple tors . Hand carved, business men in a line ( seemingly) with wording underneath ending with "ion board" . One part was in an ammo box, the other in a plastic pill pot, no book with either.

Does any one recognise these and think they may have the clues to complete the picture?

Thank you. Guess I'll need to extend that page in my book if I find any more of them!

They aren't listed in my catalogue. I presume they have been removed from the current list? Is there an archive with deletions somewhere? (for those who have not got older copies of the catalogue) I find a lot of these are actually still out on the moor.

My understanding is that the owner of the Personalities boxes does not collect them in. Some are adopted by other letterboxers while others just 'disappear' over time.

Hi

We just found the last part ARD in a very rusty ammo box,on Wednesday.

Maureen you know so much about this hobby, I couldn't find them in the current catalogue either, so they must have been deleted at some point. How long have they been out there?

Ha, perhaps thats because I have been enjoying this hobby for many, many years

These boxes first appeared in the Spring 1992 catalogue. Very difficult to find now though as the clue to 10b was in the back of the book of Clue 10, then clue to C was in back of book of B. etcc.. Don't suppose the back pages are there now. If anyone finds these boxes on site, let Angela or Malcolm know and perhaps they will re-issue them with better clues.

I found part one (a) accidently when doing the RNLI Walk earlier this year on the 25th May. Unfortunately, I never thought to take any extra details for it. I can remember exactly where it is so might have to return. Even if only to track down the other four parts

Would somebody please explain to us why this image has been removed?

Not sure about this, perhaps Nik as Administrator can tell us more, but I think its more to do with Photobucket and not this website. Go back to your account on Photobucket and see if the picture is still there. If so, try reposting it back onto this page.

We do not have an account with photbucket and do not understand the complications of using it. We are old fashion "cut and paste" people. This copy of our stamp was posted on this Forum by you, who sourced it from another Forum site, whose Web Master did the photobucket for us after we E- mailed a copy to him by cut and pasting from our photo collection.

Sorry don't know then, have just checked and its been deleted from my account, so probably thats why its gone. If you want to put it on, then you can't cut and paste on a website. You have to open an account - no cost - with photobucket or any other photo site. Upload it to your account, then at the bottom of the phot you will see an 'img' code. You then copy this and paste it to the thread. I did pm you about on July 16th but you didn't reply.

My pm said:- Hi, yes that was your copy, but as you hadn't replied to help this boxer, thought I would do it instead. We are here to help one another after all. I was sure you wouldn't mind, but if you do I will delete both posts!

You said you didn't have a photobucket account I can only assume you managed to get this link from someone else who hosted it on the photobucket account. They say (photobucket) that the accounts are free to join but there is a limit to what can be stored on the site, when you reach that limit then you have to pay for the account, most people don't bother from that point, the down side to that limit is photobucket also closes down all the pictures in your account and you get left with that annoying display.

A lot more people are using flickr or posting directly to the forum they use.

I can understand why photobuck does this, as the sheer amount of information that is being stored on the photobucket site must be enormous and every picture takes space
