Had a wet evening around Halstock Hill last night. My coat despite having been reproofed with NikWax wash in waterproofing stuff was not entirely waterproof  any suggestions?
I was looking for the Bonus box to Caitlin's Fairy - I found a box in the right location - but there was no identification within it - the stamp was a rattle - anyone know if this was the right one - or do I need to go back again.
I also found the Master stamp to Teds on Dartmoor - there are supposed to be 8 stamps in this series - but no indication as to clues - need help on this too
Finally I located Okehampton Bounds Millenium Year box - Higher Halstock - but residing in the same box was the Millenium Year stamp for Cullever steps - I remember finding the box for this up stream some weeks ago - it was still in its location, well kept with a nice book, but obviously the stamp was missing - now I know why! :D

Candle Wax.
That is what I used for my hat and an old jacket

Sorry, I don't know anything about the boxes.
Waterproofing your coat is never a permanent thing and I can't think of a product that will give more permanency. It's like dubbing your boots, I've had the same pair of boot for 8 years (not smelly!) :P , but even though I use dubbing often the water still gets in and I end up with sqelshy socks, hence the spare pair and trainers in the boot of my car!
Some coat are machine washable, though I wouldn't recommend this as it could ruin the waterproofing futher. What coat have you got?

Hi Dizzy,
My coat is a Regatta one - I had done nothing to it - until the day it leaked badly - and that is when I washed it in Tec Wash and then re-proofed it with the re-proofing stuff - both go in the washing machine. The coat was then fine - nice and dry - but the 3rd or 4th drenching it got - on Halstock Hill - was when it started leaking again! It seems fine in light showers - just the torrential downpour it doesn't like  Fortunately -my timing yesterday was spot on and I was sat in the car as the heavens opened!! :D
Whilst here - I'd also like to order one of the Personal Forum stamps you make up - not a traveller - just one I can use for stamping into visitor books. BUT, have left my membership number at home - will send it through when I remember to bring it to work!

Hi Jo, I will PM you the details for the forum stamps. Let me know your membership number for the letterboxing club a.s.a.p and I will get this sorted for you.
Cheers

Hi Jo, thanks for your payment, I will be making your stamp tonight.
As for the coat, it's looks as if you are doing everything correct, I can't see why it won't stand to anything more than a shower.
