Had two people in as many days saying they're not getting the email activation. I've manually approved both and then tested it.
Both users were gmail users - and I have a gmail account spare, so used that.
Gmail puts the board activation message into its spam folder.
Options:
A) Manually approve users. A percentage won't ask and go away.
B) Turn off email verification.
C) Amend the signup message to tell users to check the spam folder (especially for gmail)
I've gone for B). The new slidey verification seems to be beating the bots so far (and verification is something they can overcome anyway), so it seems a sensible choice.

Ok something else odd - a member has rung me up saying he cannot log in to his account. I went into the system and checked his membership details for him and under 'password' there was a funny bit of typing - think in arabic :( Anyway I deleted that and entered a new password for him and gave it to him over the phone. I have checked with him again just now and he is back up and running.
Do we have a 'glitch' or was it perhaps something he did whilst trying to log in and perhaps forgot his password?

Odd, not heard of that before. Hopefully a one-off, as I'm not aware of any issues with the site or data.
