PHILATELY PHUN CHARITY WALK. Have been notified that boxes 1 to 4 & no. 7 have been stolen. There are copies of these stamps readily available , so please contact if anyone requires them, and many apologies to all those who have yet to do the walk , the boxes of which will be taken in at the end of this month.

Hi Brinnie, I bought this walk at the last meet, and because of the problem with boxes being stolen I did this walk within two weeks of it going out and got all the stamps.
I wonder how many walks will be at the meet this time around?

Perhaps it is time these walks were sited slightly better and off the beaten track - far too many of these boxes are going missing - oh how I would love to meet this thief - I might consider dropping a tor on the idiot

This walk was often off the beaten track - popular area but really well hidden.

Sadly, it has to be someone very close to letterboxing that is doing it.

we did it in july and thankfully all the stamps were in place, just can not believe someone is so sad finding them and taking them with them. Probably have a shrine to stolen letterboxes in their bedroom.

Then the offender has probably been seen by most of us... without any of us realising who it is... They were at the meet buying walks

Maybe it is time for all the charity walks to be postal only and then the amount of stolen boxes would be reduced

Someone out there is definitely out to give letterboxing a bloody nose

They must have a large rucksack to put all the stolen boxes in, bit like the size I use and NO, it's not me! :(
But seriously though, not that many people use a large rucksack for a one day hike. I just like to be well prepared for anything that the open moors throws at me, be it a cow, sheep or some mysterious Dartmoor beast. Not that I would want to put any of these animals in my bag and take them home of course.

I use a really old Award Series 25 rucksack which does the job. I can get my lunch box, two flasks, tub with all my bits in it, jumper, waterproofs, gloves, hat, scarf and map, etc. in it. I've had it for about 10 years now, so doing well.

However, it is too crammed for stealing stamps so not me either.
