Hi all,

Anyone else daft enough to be out this weekend? I'll be off for a run up to Hare Tor from lane end and down to the Tavy to get some (hopefully) dramatic shots for my website. I'll stop and say hello to anyone and everyone in the hope of meeting a real life forum member!

take care this w/e all

I wouldn't even be thinking about it, but my dog is giving me the 'take me for a run or else' look.

I was daft enough to go out today, we did a charity walk in the Leedon/Ingra area, it was a dry morning, we then moved on to the Roos Tor area in the afternoon, unfortunately we weren’t so lucky we got a little wet, as we were dressed for all weathers we were fine. Total for the day 40 boxes.

Hi Paul, yep a little rough out there for a walk this weekend but I'm sure there will be plenty of occassions to get out onto those lovely open moors.

Love the web site, very well designed!

I don't know if there are some courses that give you qualifications on navigation but it's worth it if you wish to teach it or for experience and knowledge.

thanks for your comment, Dizzy- I'll pass it on.

bit blustery up at Peat Cott today. fantastic light in between the showers. 'Atmospheric' doesn't cover it sometimes.

great to be out now that I'm dry with a Sunday lunch in me!

take care all.

Sunday: Barn Hill and Cox Tor. Windy or what?! :)

NNAS assessment this Thursday: current forecast - heavy rain!! :( Oh yuck!

Hi!
We were some of the mad ones! Stayed at The Forest Inn, Hexworthy, Saturday and Sunday nights - had three days on the moors.

Checked our box (and finally took some bearings) and one of James and Jenny's on Saturday - then realised we needed better waterproof clothing; spent a small fortune at Kountry Kit, Tavistock. Sunday on Laughter Tor (which seems to have been visited by TLBT), - horizontal rain, difficult to stand in the wind, but we were nice and dry in our new gear.
Had a few hours in the grids south of The Forest Inn - now at home, feeling very weary! :)
Regards,

This weekend looks even more interesting than the last one.
Skin's waterproof, I suppose.

Looking forward to getting out there again, though.
