RETURNING TO LETTERBOXING

when i was a child i have many many happy memories of letterboxing on dartmoor withmy mum dad sisters and the dog (and some frustrating ones)

now we have all grown up and don't live our moorland family home anymore you start to really appreciate it.

...........so

this year my parents have asked for intangible gifts for christmas and i was thinking that i'd make sure that i would come back home more regularly on a sunday to go out on the moors with them.

therefore i was gonna buy a letterboxing book with all the up to date clues in to give them on christmas day. (well actually the book will be for me, due to the intangible gift rule, their gift is the action of finding the boxes).

the question is where can i get one from? and in time for crimbo. Does the one by Randy Hall 'The Letterboxers Companion' have clues in it as well as all the background stuff - cos we dont really need the background info so much.

any help???

and watch out dartmoor cos "There's nobody here but us Chickens" are gonna be back!!!

no clues in the book, have you got to your 100 stamp yet then you could get the catalogue, if not look on the internet as a few websites have clues on.

Hi sco20, Welcome to the forum.
Your stamps never expire and if you did ever join the 100 club it is a life membership.
Send proof of your stamps and you will be entitled to join the 100 club and purchase the catalogue.
Happy hunting

Hi sco20 Welcome to the site....
Unfortunately you have just arrived at a moment of transition within the 100 letterbox club = both Godfrey and Tony have decided to call it a day so the Buck is being passed onto another
Though you could still get catalogues from Tony and Sylvia Moore until the end of the year - but be warned - this is last Springs catalogue and will require the suppliment that came with it.

Doh - and just when I'd got my first hundred and was looking forward to registering with the 100 club.

Ah well - fair enough. From what I read Tony and Godfrey have given sterling service for aeons and well deserve their "retirement".

Is there any news of who is taking this over?
