I was on ebay looking at possibly bidding for a sighting compass and I came across this WW2 beauty. It measures about 25cm X 10cm, fancy lugging that great thing around the moor!
I suspect that was for a landing craft or some other small naval craft.
It is definitely not for the hand held types
