OMG! This has to be the quietest forum I've ever been to, so as a conversation starter who is out this weekend and where are you going?

We are hoping to get to Belstone on Sunday if the weather isn't too bad as we haven't invested in proper waterproofs yet :)

Sssshhh! Careful you don't wake the sleeping giant! This site has it's moments - but sometimes goes through a quiet spell.

We've done Belstone & Scarey Tor quite a bit - probably our favourite areas. Likely to do somewhere on the south moor this Sunday (although the forecast doesn't look too good - if they can be believed!).

I'm just staying fairly local this Saturday - will be doing the Jeremiah walk not far from Wooton.

Depending on the weather I may go north moor on Sunday, although I really should stay home and do some housework as not looking too good at the moment.

Probably having a quiet day on Saturday, then on Sunday we are off to Dartmoor to do a Dartmoor Rescue Group organised walk called Twelve Across and Two Down. It basically goes from Vennford reservoir up to Ter Hill and then back to Princetown visiting 14 crosses on the way and is part of the Maltern Way. Great walk, we did it about three years ago. Is about 10 miles altogether.

How did the Dartmoor rescue walk go? I know someone else who was going to do it, but haven't heard from them since (possibly still up there??!) Did the walk go from Nuns cross back to Princetown? I couldn't work out what the last part of the walk was (when I was looking at it on the map).

Walk went well - the weather wasn't brilliant - turned very misty and then started raining when we got to Hart tor. The last bit of the walk was Nun's Cross -Older bridge - Newleycombe Cross - Crazywell Cross - Cramber tor then Hart tor back to Princetown.

Lovely photos. You all look very happy despite the weather - not at all cross.

Okay, that makes more sense :) Looking at the map going from Venford to Nun's cross then to Princetown didn't look quite like 10 miles.

Great photos... I won't ask about the spikey hat in some of them :)
