Whats the fashion these days for collecting the impression of the stamp? Im using a hard back book with blank pages, I did remember wooden boxes with cards in so that you could stamp it and then slot it in the bottom?

What do you use to collect the imprint? are there any new inks or such for a better impression?

Whats your thoughts on the best way to collect?

Paul and I use cards in the wooden box you mentioned above. We then cut them out and stick them in an album - labelling them up and numbering them as part of our collection. We use a basic waterbased ink pad - VersaColor. Though we have seen people using multiple colour ink pads - to create fantastic multicoloured prints. Not got into this as yet - despite the fact I own a shop selling ink pads amongst other things!!

I usually stamp mine into books and number them as I go. I'm not as organised as Dizzy and CraftyJo.

I've met people in the past who colour their stamps in. One gentleman in particular I met a few years ago around Corndon Tor. His collection was absolutely amazing.

I use a pocket sized copier these day - only drawback is the weight - two tons - intil I get the weight down I still use the old stuff - nothing changes really

Colour them in using kiddies Crayola pens then stamp them into a postcard sized art book. Other half still uses postcards.

Likewise . . . I'm a rather untidy wee nut and if I had loose cards I'd have loose cards all over the flat!

Hi, I have 3 different colour stamp pads. When I find a letterbox I choose a colour and then make two impressions of the stamp, 1 in a book and another on a blank piece of paper. I then scribble down any details relating to the stamp in the notepad.

When I get home, I cut around the stamp impressions on the loose pieces of plain paper and stick multiple stamps onto A4 size paper and then put it in an A4 folder.
