Can I get a copy of the latest catalog...

... without having to chance losing my stamps book in the post?

Finally decided after more than ten years of absence from LBing, that my old walking partner and I are going to return to the moor, probably this May Bank Holiday.

Only thing is, our old catalog is so out of date now that we need to get the latest one sorted out before we depart the big smoke for the SW.

So, what's the score these days with getting a new catalog? We got the original one from Tony somebody and if he has a record of who he's sent catalogs out to, then he'll see that we're legit. Otherwise, I guess one of us will be required to send in our book, which neither of us are at all keen to do.

Is it an option to swing by Tony's house en route with proof of our 100+ stamps, perhaps?

Any advise please?

Cheers,

MD.

Do not send your stamps through the post I wouldn't trust the post office as far as I can throw it
The new catalogue is due out at the end of March if you can attend the meet when the clocks change and you can also register your stamps there - just make a list of all the stamps you have and present it to qualify for your badge. Somehow I cannot see anyone bringing 5000 stamps to the meet

Nik,

Getting to the meet is not an option. It's something like a three hundred mile round trip!

Hey if you want a book from the meet I am going and would pick one up and post it to you if you want - Im going to get one myself!

I know exactly how far it is to get to the meet and I am going and I live in NORTH London - so I could get you a catalogue and save on the postage
Actually it is nearer a 450 mile round trip - I've done it enough times - lol

Thanks for the offer both of you. That's very much appreciated.

Nik, I may well take you up on that... I can think of a couple of things I could do. I could either drive up to N London (I live in Staines) and hand you my book. Or I could scan a hundred of the stamps (don't worry, there are several to a page) and email you them.

What d'ya think?

Just give them a list of names - it would be easier - that is what I did when I did my first hundred - enclose a cheque for the badge and I am sure they wont refuse you

Just a tip - you can fit 1000 in an A4 sized book with I think it is 70 pages and all on one side of the pages too so they could be cut out later if needs be.
Some pages you can fit over 20 on others it might be one or two

Nik,

If it's just a case of putting together a list of those which we've collected, do you think perhaps I should just post the list to Tony?

Any chance you or (anybody else) could PM me Tony's contact details.

Cheers,

MD.

Hi Mad Dog,
I believe that the badges and membership to the 100 club is now the responsibility of Stephanie and Roger Paul.
I shall pm you the info from the relevant issue of the updates. If this has changed since I am sure someone on her will put me right fairly quickly.

Don't worry Steve, I've already pm'd all the details for Mad Dog.

Thanks Tina, but I have done it before reading your reply. I should of known someone would be more efficient than me. :P

Thanks both of you for all the details you've provided.

I'll email Tony Moore and Angela Alldridge and see where it goes.
