Hi All

My total number of letterboxes visited is now over 100 after today's haul. I can sleep easy now knowing that I will be at the meet on the 30th to become a member.

My dog is also happy that he can join the "100 club" for dogs :D

Thanks. I hadn't been able to get out on Dartmoor recently due to the weather and unexpected work deadlines so it was a relief to get the 100 in time.

Do you know if you can register dogs at the meet for the dog 100 club or does it have to be done through the post?

Thanks.

Woohoo! After braving the bitterly cold wind and sleet, and stepping into a bog up to my knees we too have reached the 100 milestone today. Roll on next Sunday :D

At what point are we deemed worthy of placing our own box? Do we have to reach a specific number of stamps or collect for x amount of time first? Would be great to receive messages rather than just leaving them in other people's boxes :)

Welcome to the Site Old Nog and Dramatorist... rather an interesting comment there? I assume you know each other!

And in answer to DavejParry - there is no restriction as to when you can place your first box. Just be careful where it is sited. You are safe if you avoid manmade subjects and heavily populated tourist areas

well done both of you on reaching 100 boxes, it does get easier, as for when you can put a box out, we waited till we got our 100 box then put a walk out but kept it out of the catalogue instead we meet people on the moor and passed our clues that way and in return we got some other peoples wom boxes in return.

Well done DJP. It's a lovely feeling isn't it reaching that 1st 100. Many put out a box to celebrate their 100 finds, but as mentioned before, just be very careful where you place it in order that it doesn't go missing and is placed in an appropriate place.

Welcome to the site Old Nog & Dramatorist. How long have you been letterboxing?

Welcome done davejparry. The race is on lol.

Just to set the record straight I don't know Old Nog and Dramatorist. The comment certainly is interesting considering they joined in September 2007 and that was their first ever comment. Well worth the wait!

Oh dear you are now hooked on letterboxing. I bet you are now planning to get your 200 box and then the 500 box etc.
Just think of those cold wet days tramping over the moors only to find a few boxes.
Well done and might catch up at the Meet.
I will be floating across the moor from Thursday if the snow stays away.
