So the meet is over, now did everyone manage to get all there walks and badges they wanted.

it is surprising how many people you know through only a few meets either in lee moor or on the moor, and you still remeber them.

I registered as a member of the 100 club, got a couple of badges (one for the pooch!), latest catalogue, and applied for email updates but I forgot all about the charity walks!

The thing we regret missing the most (because we were late!) was the whole social scene and getting WOM clues, and we only managed to get one stamp from the event :( But we did buy a big stack of postcards ready for summer :)

We were unable to get to the meet this time due to having no car and also only came back from holiday on Saturday. It would have been good to meet some of you but may bump into you on the moors. By the sound of it the meet went well and quite a few of you managed to get your badges. Cannot remember how many we have must do a count sometime. We have the catalogue on our computer so it is now much easier to keep a tag of the ones we find, I am trying to get all the ones that we have collected over the years entered on this database because then I can run reports. The computer version is fine and get the monthly updates of new stamps only so do not get any other information regarding charity walks etc.

Thanks for the list of some of the charity walks and hopefully will be sending off for them. Was there a Scout group there with a charity walk? If so did anybody get the details because we normally support them (husband is involved with the Scouts).

Did any of you get onto the moors yesterday? Weather was good in Cornwall but not sure what it was like up there.

If anybody can provide us details of the charity walks that have not already been mentioned it would be much appreciated. Hopefully will be getting up a bit now the lighter evenings are here.

Hi Millser

Where did you get your catalogue on your computer as it would be far easier for us as well?

there is a program for putting boxes on, also you can get the catalogue updates by email which we get and then add them to either a spreedsheet or to the program.

I managed to get my now-much-treasured 1,000 badge :D

One thing really concerned me though. The second thing I did when I arrived was purchase the new catalogue (the first getting a pint). But I thought you had to be a member to get one. I could have been anybody as nobody checked or even enquired. Anyone with with bad intentions (and £6.50) could easily get their hands on a clue book :?

Yes, I found this last Autumn. I showed them my 100 club card, but was told that they didn't need that. As you say, I could have been anyone. Sort of defeats the object of it (the 100 club).

Well done Sly Fox. I also achieved that milestone during the week and sent off for my badge today. Now for the next 1000 (in about 10 years' time).
