Hi All

Camped out at the plume last night was a little cold in the tent but woke up to nice sunny skies and snow! then decided to walk the dogs up to South Hessary before breakfast and got caught in a shower!!! show us your pics!

Wow you did get caught didn't you. You must have been up quite early then.

Your definitely braver than me. It wasn't really laying where I went today. You could see it in the distance first thing, but was all gone by the time I returned home.

I was in Newquay over the weekend. I was in a hotel overlooking Fistral Beach watching surfers in the sea and snowing. Very surreal indeed.

Wow look at the drifts in the first photo I would have loved to jump in them!!! how long does it take to walk to fur tor?? and where is the best place to park?

Hi Bunnymummy,

I reckon walking would take about 3hrs.

I parked at Bag Tor gate. Just follow the road through Peter Tavy, Cudlipptown and Wapsworthy and on to a gate at a dead end. There's a small area for parking here (about 5/6 cars) so get there early!

Did you know that if you turn right once you've gone through the gate, it is possible to drive to the Army building (a few potholes to contend with). Go through that gate and there is plenty of parking here for a few more cars.

Excellent I really to want to go to Fur Tor - Im sure you can see it from Cox Tor, I did the Ireland charity walk and it was such a clear day that you could see for miles! can you see Fur from there??

Don't think you can see Fur Tor from Cox Tor, but you can from Roos Tor.

The views are awesome on a good day, but your navigation will have to be good if it's not!

I did my initial trip to Fur Tor from Bag tor Gate - vis was zero the weather was a downpour but we still got there - just follow the peat passes

Did you get the caged tree stamp there Jo?
