Letterbox dense areas

Hello,
I am new to letterboxing and am planning on my first trip. I have read that Pew, Staple and Cox Tors are good for starting at. What other places near here would be good? And also places around the tors used for Ten Tors (I did Ten Tors this year so know this area fairly well!).
Thank you for you time and help!

Hello, welcome to the site :)

I never did the Ten Tors this year, but Roos Tor and Middle Staple Tor were used (I think). They all have boxes galore.
My last two trips have been in the Brat Tor and Doe Tor area. I have stamped loads of boxes there. I think the area is as abundant as Pew Tor ... maybe even more so !!

Now that is an area I have not done in a long while ... Brat Tor- it always used to be good for finding boxes - I just hated the climb to the top.

Mind you a lot of areas seem to go in phases, when an area gets too populated it then tops up with the Junk boxes (unofficial non-catalogue and non-WOM boxes). Then they seem to move on... Who knows where next?

abundent letterboxes, try up and around widgery cross, but park either at the carpark or by the fox and hound pub and it is just down the track, we seem to find loads of boxes plus there is a charity walk in that area.

The area around Brat Tor, Widgery Cross area has loads of boxes at the moment because several charities have their boxes out there. Look for trees and you will soon find boxes.

Good luck with it.
