Doetor Brook - crossing it

After abit of advice please....

Just wondering whether there is a lower crossing place on Doetor Brook apart the obvious place - where it splits off along the leat.

I ask as I have the clues for the Cornish Houses walk and the lie of the clues seem to suggest that you can cross lower down and walk diagonally downwards from one clue to the next (over the brook inbetween).... instead of going straight then down, over the crossing where it branches off to the leat.

With a 5.5 yrs in tow I don't want any problematic crossings, especially as we find the brook okay to cross going from Bray Tor to Doe Tor but not vice vesra at that point and head upwards to cross. If there isn't a safe crossing further down I think I'll have to reverse this walk iyswim.

Has this made sense to anyone!?!?!?!?! LOL

Cheers

Best to walk around safely for this one, doing a bit of a backtrack if I remember as crossing the brook wouldn't work very well with a youngster especially after all the rain we've had (unless someone knows better of course).
