I've had a great day up on Buckland Beacon and the Pil Tor/Top Tor area trying out my new GPS and Compass, 21 boxes in all. I thought I'd be the only one out there but no, there were a few similarly minded souls.
We must be mad!

Happy New Year to one and all.

We we’re walking by 8 thought we’d be the only ones out but although we were one of the first we weren’t the first & throughout the day we saw plenty of like minded nutters
We enjoyed the walk & managed to pick another 19 (27 total) we didn’t have any trouble with the water courses because they were frozen solid as you said it’s a bit exposed, the wind whipped across most of the day but we were wrapped up well & had a good day.
The stamps are great & all still in place which can be a rarity these days :(
don’t know which to do next
Cornish rescue
Chicks
Wreckers Morris
Forgotten English
Scout tracking signs
A Dartmoor mine
We’ve already done 3 walks I’ll have to remember ''at the next meet DON’T let Suzie have my wallet''

I know that feeling. Completed three or four of the charity walks so far. Was planning to do a few more over Christmas walk but was very lazy and stayed inside instead. May get the rest done before March. I quite often don't complete them all though, but at least the charities benefit.

we had a great time last time we were up there. All the boxes were up there as well, one to add to the list...
