Hi all.

We had our first Letterboxing outing today, we went to Cox Tor and Sharpi Tor and got 10 stamps (found another 3 boxes with no stamps)
We are planning to go to Pew Tor tomorrow to hopefully get us towards that magic 100.
Just thought I would take this opportunity to say Hi.

Sorry....I've got a question already.

We have been stamping in our book and recording the date and location (i.e Tor) of each find, is this enough once we have found 100 boxes to present to get membership?

I only ask because I have seen posts on this forum saying that each box has a name, am I required to list this name for the find to be recognised.(I only noticed names on a few of the boxes we found)

Sorry for the stupid question.

If you go along to one of the meets (when the clocks change), with your 100 stamps they'll quickly look through them and sort your membership out. We didn't have the name or catalogue numbers for most of ours... and actually I think many weren't in the catalogue anyway, but a stamp is a stamp. :D

Another good way of getting stamps is by doing charity walls, there is a charity section on here, but it was a bit out of date (i.e. the winter walks).

Hi Rich & Stacey, It was us who bumped into you today at Pew Tor. Nice to see you.

We're hoping to get back out again on Bank Holiday Monday, but it's the day after the Plymouth Half marathon so not sure what the legs are going to be like!

12 stamps today! :D

Hi Morgan Family

It was lovely meeting you today, we ended up at the Dartmoor Inn and got the stamps from behind the bar, still a long way off from the 100 boxes though. We will be out and about on that weekend also but not quite sure which tor yet.

Take Care
