Hi Everyone,

I am here today to ask a REALLY daft question. I remember meeting a girl at a campsite about 16 (it could be more) years ago that was mad on letterboxing and she showed me what letterboxing was and my 1st box.
I would like to show my son what to do when we visit Dartmoor next year and would like to know where to get my 1st set of clues (I was looking at the book from the 100 club) is this the best way to start?

The box I remember is about 300yds up the track from the fox and hounds pub near lydford. The stamp I think was a picture of a red letter box. Does anyone know this box and if it is still there?

Yes the Catalogue is a great place to start, but you might find it easier to do a couple of the chairity walks, they are in the updates normally £2.50. You get average of 15 boxes and normally a 3-5 mile circular walk. Hope this helps.

u can get the catalogue, but the tradition is to get your first 100 without the catalogue, then get the book after that

I remember that letterbox - if memory serves me that particular box was a word of mouth box one of the post box series - I seriously doubt it will still be there.
