Hi, my sister and I have been gripped by the letterboxing bug! how do we go about creating and registering our own box?

E-mail Malcom on M.Allderidge@btinternet.com to get a box Number.
Place you box on Dartmoor, but follow the letterbox code. Send clue to Malcom. Ask Malcom any questions and I am sure he will answer them for you.

There are a few rules and one or two unwritten rules too
Don't site it in any man made wall or object and dont site it in anywhere which is heavily occupied by tourists where it is likely to get stolen and keep it out of the dry leats as there has been a lot of rain and I suspect a lot more to come.

Two copies of the stamps have to be made and sent to the right person - see above - with the clues attached - it is upto you if you want to provide a map reference or not these are known as cryptic clues or if you supply map reference as a normal clue

something to do with the moor is often a good idea as well... ie up around princetown there are some stamps of escaped prisoners. ive seen churches on the moor as well its always nice to see a good stamp related to the area
