A note to any novice out boxing in this heat

Take plenty of water with you - you will dehydrate in this heat.
You intake will probably rise to 4 to 5 litres for a days walking.
As pleasant as it may seem heat/dehydration can be as dangerous as the cold, especially if you are driving afterwards.

I'll second that Nik.

Its not always just the novices who need reminding. As well as the water, 'Slip, slop, slap' as they say in Australia: Slip on a shirt, slop on the sunscreen, slap on a hat.

I hope this nice weather continues.

We're down for a weekend of boxing, kind of wished it wasn't going to be as hot as forecasted

So we plan to get up early tomorrow and be up on the moors before 7am...and we've all bought new sun hats too :o

So if you see 3 dodgey looking hats it could be us!

Take care all x

:? Went out today up around Huntingdon Warren/Pupers/Snowden area in the so called 'boiling heat'. The day was very nice and sunny, but there was a bitter cold wind howling around all day. So I had to walk in a light weight fleece  Bought a sun vizor to keep sun off face as I don't like hats. Had to take that off because of the wind, so tucked it into my waist belt. Got up to Pupers only to find I had dropped it somehwere between Snowden and the west side of Pupers. You would think you could spot a bright pink object on the yellow grass but sadly noooooooo. So if anyone is out that way and spots it, its mine!!! So much for the heatwave out there. Came home to find family sunbathing in garden!
