Hi chris you can all ways buy the clue book link on the forum somewhere you dont have to be a 100 bxs club member to be able to get the clue book.
Also welcome to the forum and welcome to the very adictive world off letterboxing.

Apparently you are supposed to find your first 100 boxes off your own back first then you can join the club (with proof of finds) and purchase the catalogue.
I realise that you are able to obtain the catalogue without finding your first 100 but I feel this is (from what I can gather) the letterboxing etiquette way of obtaining the catalogue.

This is what I've read on here anyway. :?

Ed that used to be the case where you had to find the 100 first before you bought the book and joined the club but this is not the case anymore. But saying that to get a 100 is not so hard with the ammount off bxs that you can get at certain places.Plus with the charity walks etc you can gain 100 in no time.

Getting your first hundred boxes is the traditional way of getting them though preferred it isn't mandatory.
Personally I think it is more fun doing it the traditional way and proves to your self you are going to do this odd hobby with conviction

Welcome to letterboxing.

I've collected 100 stamps before I purchased the catalogue, although did have the help of a couple of charity walks, as well as just looking around.

Enjoy.
