Up to Buckland Beacon on Sunday to have mooch around & look at the Ten Commandment stones. Hope the weather holds off, Sue don’t do rain  which can be quite amusing sometimes, for me that is :D

Had a look through our stamps & was saddened to see the last time we went out was July 09 where does the time go!!!!

We did a very nice walk recently in this area. Started at Hemsworthy Gate (742/761) then up to Pill Tor, Tunhill Rocks and down to Blackslade ford. Up to Cold East Cross before crossing to the 'stone'. The return route took in Rippon Tor before dropping down to Hemsworthy.

The area is 'littered' with ancient artefacts - carved dated stones, discarded stone press wheels and a prone stone cross up at Rippon. Found a number of boxes on the route too :)

Hope you have the sort of weather that we had last Sunday - must have been one of the best days ever for walking - crisp, clear and cool. Wonderful!

BTW - anyone recently visited us ? (The Thinkers - stamp is the same as the avatar) It was fine when I checked a couple of months back - be good to know it is still intact.

We had a very successful day up and around the ten commandments... so fingers crossed not only for the weather...but plenty of boxes too
