Hah!! Thought we were back at Princetown!!!
Confused?

Hi Gemma, I doubt if we will be back in Princetown for the foreseeable future as there are still funding issues for the town with the Community Centre. Such a shame as the Meet in the centre of the moors just seems so right.

You are so right a real shame, missed the Ol place. Lee Moor is OK but Princetown is IMO the bees knees of Meets.

Sigh!!!

WITC will be there. Lee Moor is better than no-where.

WITC - will you have a pink carnation in the buttonhole or pinned to your chest?

hello everyone, first post and would like to say how much myself,"the dragon lady" and our little one are enjoying it.
only found about 20 so far and still to get our own stamp.
just wondering if the meet is open to eveyone or is it just for the 100 club?
sorry if thats a stupid question but we would like to get into it properly this summer and would be grateful for any help.
we are a little resticted as our little ones legs can only take her so far onto the moors so need to have some fun on simpler treks.

thanks for any help

Hi there - yes the Meet is open to everyone, although you need to be a member of the 100club to buy the catalogue. Bring your little one along, there are tables set out with people selling charity walks with plenty of one day stamps for you to collect on the day. bring plenty of cards/paper/stamp pads as well. But you can buy all these things there as well. Lots of goodies for sale. On each table selling a walk they will have a map of the area and length of the walk so that you can perhaps pick up one that will suit your little one. On the longer ones you could do the first few boxes, then turn and do the last few or how far your little one can get. Lots of letterboxers to talk to to get help from as well. Hope you can make it.

I am just getting back into letterboxing after about 15 years, i slipped and fell and landed badly at kings tor - i cant locate my 100 club badge or the catalogue.
Does this mean

A) i will have to start all over again
B) I will not be able to obtain a catalogue

Sowerby Streaker

2011-03-20 11:28:57

No, I would think that Steph who is in charge of the 100club will have a record of you number on file. When you get there, speak to her first, she will be on the top table, ang get your old number back.

re small kids at the meet- we took our 4 yr old to the October meet. it was bit too loud and busy and full of grown ups for his taste. Some kids will love that buzz tho.
Good place to pick up charity walks, having the map to look at and gauge difficulty of terrain was handy.

Next weekend I am aiming to come to meet alone, in the afternoon. get a new catalogue , some charity walks and maybe ( if I get out on the moor again before next sunday) a 200 badge.

185 found so far... in just over a year.

Hope you get them.We have just got our 200 today on Longaford Tor, so we will be hopefully getting our badges at the meet.
