3 weeks ago I lost a radio ( walkie talkie) in the Taw Valley. Today I was given it back! by a couple of lads letterboxing with their family, on Holiday, from Germany.
We had been chatting, I had given them the clue for one of my boxes, they went buzzing off to find it, it seems 12-14 yr old lads think nothing of running up and down the side of belstone ridge. 30 mins later they came running to catch up with us further along the ridge, " is this your radio? " they asked. It was, They had found it in the same hole as our box.
Serendipity- they got a first to find, we got our radio back.
