Cast your mind back to the 1980-90s

I used to letterbox back in the late 1980s and popped onto the moor to support my lad on his 10 Tors and decided to have a look to see if an old box of mine was where I remembered it near Belstone.
Imagine my surprise to find it both intact and the old rubber cut to still be in good condition having been placed n 1st July 1990!

See the top left of the image for the box in question Image

I just wondered if any of the avid boxers as shown in the remaining stamps on the image are still going?

Also whatever happened to the 'North Dartmoor Passport Holders' club?

I also found a few old stamps I cut that hadn't been placed so aim to get them out soon.

This "Club" was organised by Pat Clatworthy and to qualify for membership you had to find 100 boxes on the North Moor. This is north of the B3212 and B3357
We joined on 1st. April 2000! (though it was an appropriate date)
Our club number was/is 284. Over recent years we believe the club has fallen onto stony ground and we are uncertain about Pat's boxing activities.
Perhaps other 'well established' boxers can throw some light on the current situation ?
