:D Just wanted to say hello to everybody on this forum.
We started letter boxing a couple of weeks ago, and are now addicted. The kids love it, our youngest (3) is brilliant at finding them, I think her height is her advantage!
So far we have "free styled", our way to 9 boxes, no clues involved! Although we know we can get the clue book before getting to the 100 club, we have kind of challenged ourselves to go without.
Just in the middle of planning our next trip to Dartmoor (or Darkmoor as the kids call it!), can't wait.

Hi there, welcome to the site - what a lovely original idea to go out and find your boxes without clues. This was how we all had to do it in the earlier days (80's/90's). Once you had found your 100, you could then apply for the catalogue. Plenty of advice on here on where to go to get the most success, so Good luck with your challenge - let us know how you are getting on.

Ooooo, I don't know if I know you?, Stuart...but then again, I don't know many people!

And thanks for the good luck wishes, we thought we'd do it "old school" style!

That 100 badge will have to be locked in a cupboard out of the way of children's hands!

Hi peasout
Welcome to theForum from me.

You poor unfortunates are going down the same 'road' as I did a 'few years' ago.

My kids dragged me out to Foggintor Quarry to do some 'letterboxing', which they had done with friends up the street earlier that week. What is the point of searching thousands of rocks looking for a small plastic container? (one of the friends said a box - ' Fred at Foggintor' was ''in a rubble tip near the Quarry'')
Well we did find it, and a couple more after hours of scrambling.

Sorry guys, but like me, It looks like your hooked!!!!!!

Enjoy it - its the best!

Hi Peasout, welcome to the forum... it's so nice to have a fresh piece of meat... I mean a new face on here.
I see you have found letterboxing is somewhat like marmite you'll love it or hate it.... seems you are loving it.

We aim to have fun somewhat like the hobby, and we old types, ok me then, are here to help as best we can. If you have a question feel free to ask no matter trivial it might seem, it might even save your life, though probably not... who knows

Happy hunting
