Adder sightings and tick infestations

I think it might be useful if we can get some sort of idea where we find ADDERS and TICKS this year. My reasoning behind this is to keep everyone safe and aware. It is getting to that time of the year that the snakes start to come out and bask on the footpaths. Map references and location names would be ideal.
