hailstone

when up to plymford and got caught in the hail storm, it hurt, did anyone else get caught out??

Didn't get caught out, but we had a small hailstorm in Totnes this afternoon.

Poor you - we had a hailstorm in Saltash as well.

I didn't get caught in it, but I did get caught in some horrible sleety stuff which was quite hard in the rain about 3.30 p.m. yesterday up near Barn Hill.

Just had rain down here in Torbay. Not seen snow for a long long time.

We were up around Roos Tor on sunday we had hail,snow,rain and sun in six and a half hours. My two sons and i met a lovelly lady who lived in Brixham she has been boxing for 30 years and has collected 30,000 stamps amasing.we found 20 new stamps so it was worth braving the weather it was a great day.

I'm thinking of popping up there this weekend. I probably won't find as many stamps as you, but if I could get somewhere near 20 that would be brilliant and will help me near my 500 target.

A tip for you keep to lower slopes there are alot of stamps there we know we mist at least 15 and we only got half way round because it started to get dark.

we were up on sourton down last weekend and actually had to shelter away as the hail was destroying our pasties, then as usual, the sun came out

Wish I'd read this before I went out. Only found 12 stamps but didn't cover half the area. As usually happens, I found most as I started to return home before dark - typical. I'll maybe visit there again in a couple of weeks.

I'm just plotting my route for a trip round Laughter Tor for next week. I'd love to go out again tomorrow, but really must get on with some chores ... lol.

I spoke to Sue today (Re: the A-Z walk). It's still out but she hasn't checked it for a while. I'm probably going to do it in the next week or so and will post any problems on the forum.
