Hi Everyone

Im off to walk Hadrians Wall next week and have seen two boxes listed around The Housestead Fort Area (NY 761 672 & NY 760 671)
Question - Does anyone know of any more on the walk ?
Has anyone ever found these boxes?

Bit late, for which I'm sorry, but yes I've found both of those boxes (they are in a touristy area which means I waited ages for some peace and quiet to actually get them). One is a 2 hoots and storm box, which I now know is a dartmoor boxer's box.

There aren't any more boxes on the wall that I'm aware of. There are boxes in Cumbria and North Yorkshire though (up to about 250 in North Yorks, some on some great walks - I planted my first ever box above the Nidderdale valley).

If anyone's heading up north (I'm in Newcastle) give a shout on here and, if I see it in time, I'll pass on what I know.

As well as Ian Kirkpatrick's excellent site, there's quite a few boxes listed on Atlas Quest as well.

Thanks for the reminder about the off-Dartmoor boxes, I'm off to the Scillies in a couple of weeks and there are a number listed there.

There are (or used to be) boxes in the New Forest as well. I tried them, but most of the clues are similar to "Box is xyz paces from tree..."

Tough enough on the moor, but the New Forest? Gnyarrrrgh! :x
