Went up around Little Mis tor at the weekend doing two of the charity walks and one of the boxes on each walk were under the same stone as another box. I know that we are supposed to keep erosion down but thought that this was going a bit far!

I found the same thing last week with one of the Curried Letterboxers Series on Wind Tor, another stamp for a charity walk was also in the same hole!

I thought the DNPA check the areas the charity walks are put out in to stop damage, so why do they allow more than one walk in the same area?

Is it bad etiqutte? There is or was a hole where there were 5 boxes on on top of another... oddly called Rabbit Warren and every stamp was a rabbit!

But I do agree with you - Charity stamps are not supposed to be under the same rock as established stamps - this is supposed to stop them being stolen along with the charity stamps

Over the years I have found stamps sited in walls and in a couple of hut circles - which I have removed and returned to the owners with a short note explaining the error of their ways

I had one sited outside a hut circle on one occasion and the finder was convinced that I had sited it inside of the hut circle - until I pointed out one of the bearings was a certain number of paces from the centre of the circle so the stamp was not in the circle after all!

This was one of the questions that a few of the walk organisers were asking at the meet. We had a lot of people coming around going "not another walk around Princetown" The only conclusion that we could come to was that they were going to wear out one area at a time!

Maybe the DNPA do check, but the walk is sited first and THEN someone else sticks their box in before the clues come out. It's overkill either way, imo, and should be discouraged :x

If you look under the Charity section, I've listed them all there - or at least, all the ones that have been in the Updates.
