Hi All

Did the 'Polo Bears Trek to the Pits' walk today. If anyone is considering doing this walk, then don't bother to look for Box 1. The owner had put it in a stone circle, so another Boxer moved it so is now in with Box 12. Although 2 boxes in one hole is not ideal, it is better than having a box in a stone circle.

I've let the owner and Tony & Sylvia know.

Beautiful (if exhausting - or is it i'm just unfit??) walk and scenery.

Hi Tina, glad you had a nice day out there. I havn't done this walk, were the stamps nice?
I can't understand why the organisers placed box 1 in a stone circle, surely there would have known about letterboxing rules.

Did you get many extra boxes whilst out, oh and one last question, what area was you in?

Questions, questions, questions.........................

Hi Dizzy

I parked near the Scout Hut at Nattor and walked in the Higher Hartor Tor/Abbot's Way/Plym Ford area. I only found one other stamp - a really old one - Serpent's Lair. The first visitor was back in 1999 and I wasn't sure how well it would stamp. However, still gave a very good image.

As each box was about 20-30 minutes' walk apart, I didn't really look for any other boxes. I was walking from about 10.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. - absolutely exhausted by the end but it was a lovely day.
