Have you ever tried to source a water proof pouch to put your catalogue or other items in we nipped into that large store on the edge of Newton Abbot while we where away T***O M**LS.

They have a range of Gelert Waterproof pouches the small one (49P) will fit a digital camera in the medium one will fit the catalogue in and the large one (89p) was 26.5cm by 34cm and I have stuck my SLR in it quite comfortably they all have carry straps on them and a velcro top that doubles over acouple of times.

I know some down Devon do not like TM but I thought it worth mentioning

Thanks for that Number 70. TM certainly has its uses at times and kept my boys occupied for hours when they were tiny. We used to get a day ticket and ride round and round and round and round the train track. The used to love the model railway and the big fort to play in, as well as the animals.

I managed to get one for me (paid for by Devon County council) many years ago from the outdoor activities shop when it was up on Mutley Plain, Blueyonder, I thought it was brilliant, it had survived numerous dumpings into the sea and kept my camera, radio, dinner, spare clothes completely dry. this was the one where you fold the top down and tie it off. Excellent thing. Snag is I have not seen any since :(

They do a 7.5L liner for kayaks with a rigid band top that your fold down and then buckle across. quite a clever idea that worked well when we tried it in store. they do a larger size but not sure what it was

Just a word of warning two of the small pouches we have, the main velcro pad has come away from the main pouch. basically rendering them useless.

I expected better from Gelert, feel a letter coming on

I bought one of the large ones on Saturday - it clips around the front - fits the rucksack lovely and is just the job. However, at £3.00, if it does come apart after a while, I'm not too fussed.
