Are there any discussion groups/websites dedicated to boxing in the rest of England?

Thanks.

Errm, not that I am aware of, but it might be worth Googling.

I've been digging around off and on for the last year and haven't seen a lot of resources. Best I could find are a few blogs, the Off Dartmoor Catalogue, Urban Letterboxing, and so on.

So, since nothing ventured, nothing gained, I've gone ahead and opened up a Yahoo Group for those interested in discussion and resources for boxing outside of Dartmoor (aka the rest of England).

If you'd like to join,
letterboxingengland-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

(or email me offline and I'll send the invite link)

(If you're not familiar with how Yahoo Groups work, try checking out the Wikipedia on it.)

We'll see if there's interest and hopefully get some more boxes and talk going for those of us who live outside of Devon and can't get to Dartmoor as much as those of you who live closer.

Thanks :)

Tried to reply to this last night and assume it was deleted due to me giving a web link. You can list your boxes on Atlas Quest, which increases the chance of you getting visitors from boxers rather than geocachers.

I know of a fair few boxes in the North of England (Humber north - both east and west) and the only box I've planted to far is in Yorkshire.

I've not had much success with off-Dartmoor boxes, the odd one that has actually been on site has been obviously unmaintained. Unless of cousre someone knows better ...

The one I found in Kent was well looked after - must have been a Kentish boxer

The ones in North Yorks are very well maintained. There's an active group here up. Cumbrian ones are good as well.

Looks like I have been deleted yet again - As I am told I do not exist when I try to log in as me!

I was trying to say (Says Sue)

If there were more boxes in Kent area - Then would be something to do with Daughter over the summer holidays before she starts 'Big School' in September...

*Can someone tell me why I am deleted and do not exist again?*

Finally after hours and hours of waiting and trying - It lets me back in...

Weird...

But as I said above I would like to find some boxes in the Kent area as something to do during summer hols as Dartmoor is a bit of a long trip on a daily basis lol
