Got my first 5!

Went out today and found my first 5 boxes - great fun, and looking forward to finding 100!

Going back out tomorrow to see if we can find a few more - so nice to be at one with the moor!

Well sounds like you've got the bug now Rich - they'll be no turning back.

I'm out with James & Jenny and Crafty Jo on Sunday - we're heading for Cranmere Pool, meeting up at the old Belstone waterworks at 9.00 a.m. So if anyone wants to join us, feel free. The weather looks set to be good for it.

It looks like you have a serious case of I have been bitten by the moor bug, cos I know what you mean... and being stuck up here in London makes it all the worse for me

Good luck with finding some boxes today - and how envious I am of you being within walking distance of the moors at Chagford! Plenty of opportunity for getting out there nearly every day!

Went out today but "only" found 3 - went near haytor, have the catalog of clues, but a couple were too hard to find... very boggy in parts, glad I bothered to get some walking boots!

Shame you didn't travel Westards a bit - there are dozens on the next pile of rocks and that valley that leads up to them

Welcome to the site Rich, good to hear you are finding some boxes. After a short time you will be able to spot the signs of a hidden box easily, a worn track leading to a pile of rocks, a rock placed in front of another that doesn't match it's background rock and so on. Use you stick and poke it under a rock, you never know what you might find!
