Hi All!

We are hoping to return to the moor this coming weekend after an absence of far too long. Does anyone have any WOM walks we could have please?

Hi, Welcome to the site!

Sadly I don't have any WOM's at the moment, all of mine are registered.

But again welcome, you will find many helpful people on this site.

Cheers

Welcome to the site 'Gloucester Boghoppers' We have no WOM boxes ours are also registered.
We do have a walk registered around the disused railway at Princetown. (2 missing out of 12 at the moment).

How long is it since you last boxed? Are you in the 100 club?

Welcome to the site...
Sadly all my WOM boxes are missing... so I cannot help you there

If you want WOM boxes you have to find one and then ask the owner of the box for a set of clues.

It is a good idea to site some of your own WOM boxes so you will have something to exchange, however be prepared for a few of them to "ignore you" as the Dartmoor Letterbox thief has, understandably, made a lot of people very wary as to whom they give their clues to.

But have fun searching

Thanks for the welcome.

We were down last summer after being introduced to letterboxing by a work colleague. Sadly living in Gloucester, we don't have the time these days to get down to what we think is a lovely part of the country.

We promised the children we'd go this coming weekend and thought they'd enjoy a walk. I guess we should have planned further ahead and bought a charity walk but I'm sure they'll enjoy their own searching. They enjoyed Pew Tor as there were loads of boxes there. Are there any other tors with a similar number of boxes hidden?

I started out on Row Tor near Okehampton Army Camp - found lots with just a random wander around. The tor isn't too steep either - so not too tiring for starting off!
If you want REALLY easy finds go to the Bonehill Rock area - as mentioned in a previous thread on here - it's a bit like a plastic city up there!
Happy Hunting. :D

You could also try Belstone (also not far from Okehampton Camp) - I found 17 there a couple of weeks ago and I know there are loads more then, having checked the catalogue since I got back.

The Staples/Roos area is always very good as well.

Good luck and enjoy.

Hello from us also!

The Belstone Tor, Scarey Tor area has plenty of boxes as Tina says. We were there with Crafty Jo a couple of weeks ago and found lots, some from the catalogue, some by the usual 'poking around'!

Best wishes
