The Searchlighters

Morning all from the Searchlighters - that's really Dave, Karen and Diesel the very elderly staffordshire bull terrier. The Searchlighters after the name of our house "Searchlight" - seemed appropriate as a handle for letterboxing!

Hoping to get to Dartmoor over the weekend not sure what day yet. We are aiming to head towards Widgery Cross area to do the charity walks and hopefully pick up some extra ones as well. As anybody got any ideas of where to park because we have a mini (old style type) and we tried in the New Year to park up the lane beside Dartmoor Inn but could not get over the drain bit part way up the lane.

Anybody else planning to get out this weekend.

You could drive on a bit further to the Fox and Hounds and park there. If you look at the O/S map, you can see that you can then cross a field which will take you to High Down ford - which is pretty much where you would have started from.

thats the best car park to stop at, then when your finished pop inside for a coffee, its only a short distance to the cross. plus loads of other boxes scattered everywhere.
