Cheap Stamps!

Hi all, after the tutorial I though I'd tell you about a little kit that I bought a couple of weeks ago for making my own stamps. It's really good, called the Home & Hobby Stamp Making System and works with resin sachets, light, negative images and errm plenty of time.

If anyone wants a stamp making, either with a 4mm perspex backing or as is so you can mount it yourself then let me know. I'm not a business just a hobbiest so I'm not after a mass of profit, just a little something for my time and materials.

Just a couple of sizes I can do so far:

60mm x 90mm = £6

Perspex 4mm Backing = £1

Here are a couple of pics for you and the quality is brilliant!:

If anyone is interested for your personal, travellers or new box stamps then please get in touch with me at Dizzy@letterboxstamper.co.uk.

All I will need is your artwork which you can e-mail to me, peferably in .jpeg, .gif or .png format and the size you want the stamp to be, but please keep it within the sizes I have mentioned above.

The postage won't be to much as the weight will be low, I feel £1.20 recorded delivery should cover it.

Once again I do this for a bit of fun and as a hobby only and if it saves you money as it does me for making my own then that's an added benefit! The usual price of £15 - £20 per stamp from some companies gets a little expensive, especially when you have to buy the container and book for the box as well!

Keep in touch and happy letterboxing!

How much would it cost to have a few stamps made up of this forums website address?

Boo, is this to promote the forum? I can do you a special deal if this is the case. There isn't that much profit with the liquid polymer (honest) :) but I'm sure that if it's only the web address and depending on the font size required, I should be able to get at least 6 stamps out of one sachet for a max price of £6.00.

Remember though Boo, the smaller the text the more I can squeeze within the size of 9cm x 6cm. I will foot the bill for the postage as long as it's for promoting this website.

You will have to cut them out and hard back them though from the set polymer.

Let me know,

Hi all!

Just to say that we have had our first 2 stamps made by Dizzy. Both were excellent, and very prompt (the stamps arriving within 3 days of me designing them!!!) :D

Once, we've found somewhere to 'hide' them, we'd be happy to let you have the clues. It may be a few weeks before we get down to Dartmoor again though. :(

Looking forward to finding your stamps once you've located them then.

What a clever chap Dizzy is as well.

Glad you both like the stamps, I love the two designs you sent me, all I had to do was alter the contrast a little to allow for the stamp making process.

Oh, and if you could also P.M me the clues once you have sited them please? Ok, I know I could have taken my own prints of them, but thats not letterboxing! :)

Thanks

Thanks Dizzy!

Once we've sited the boxes, we'll put a posting on the forum, and then be happy to send the clues to anyone who would like them.

Next task is to persude a friendly chemist to hand over some expired medicine containers!
