Special Stamp for the Autumn Meet
Dizzy

Hi all, guess what? Nope not that.......................now behave yourselves! I've not been playing with childrens building blocks, nor have I reclothed my Barbie doll (I don't have one of those......................honest!). The truth of the matter is that I've been designing a special stamp for this Autumns Meet at Lee Moor.
The stamp comprises all the regular members of this site, now it's not finished just in case I've missed someone.
I might have to make this as 2 or even 4 stamps because of the size, my liquid polymer sachets sadly don't come this big.
Anyway, take a peek and let me know what you all think, and if I've missed someone out them please let me know.

Wow! You have been busy - have you no park rangery things to do at the moment?! Very impressed with the prototype - may be the prompt I need to get myself to Lee Moor for the meet, just so I can get an official stamped up copy. :D
At least once the meet is over you can get back to the serious business of playing with your Barbie Dolls once again!

I don't work this late at night Jo, mine you delt with some drunks, drug user and homeless here in Torbay this afternoon, they my have a Barbie or Ken I can bring to the meet, I will ask them tomorrow  . I need some company on the moors anyway. :)
J&J thanks, not finished yet, seems to be lacking something. I might place the main logo in the center of the design, didn't want it to symmetrical.

Yes I do think it works better with a solid border around the edge - surprising the difference that has made - like you say doesn't detract from the main image so much. See you were burning the midnight oil in a good cause!
Good luck with sourcing some 'play things' today! :D

Thanks Jo, I think I will stick with this one, needs cleaning up a little in places. I will be making a few extra additions but everyone will have to wait till the meet to see the finished stamp. There's bo point in making it if it can simply be copied off the internet. :P
Burning the midnight oil hey, yep, your right! I am a very determinded person so when I start a project I like to finish it, sadly sleepy eyes got the better of me late last night. Plus not a work till 12.30 this afternoon.
Have a good day,

Absolutely fabulous Dizzy - I might just have to be brave and fight the crowds to get a copy. Really looking forward to the finished design.
Design 2 is definitely better.

Thanks Tina, I've just had visions of every member searching the design to see if their name is on it!
Remember, if I've forgotten you I'm sorry but it's not to late!
I won't be making this for about one week so please tell me now. :!:
Can anyone tell me how many names I've got on there now, I've lost
count and no it's not a trick question and you don't win a prize.

I guess the name of the stamp will be 'Squirrels R Us'.
Brill job Dizzy - I'm sure everyone on here appreciates all the time and effort you have put into what will certainly be a 'Super - Duper' stamp. :D

Hi Tina, I've just read you e-mail, not a problem I will make another on Tuesday for you (Tuesday's and Wednesdays being my days off). I've got another commission of four stamps to do on the same day so it's easier whilst all the gear is out.
As for the Autumn Meet stamp I've designed here, I feel that enough is enough and if there's no one else that needs to be added, this will be made on Tuesday. So if anyone out there wishes their name put on the design, you havn't got long as I will only make it once.

What can I say Dizzy?
That is a great idea and even better piece of artwork.
I will have to make an extra effort to get to the meet this time. I think the last one was in 1991. I would have been 15 then. Blimey, where has that time gone?

The stamp has now been made. I've decided to make it in four parts, each section will just fit onto a blank postcard, so a nice little jigsaw for you all and very big overall stamp, say 3/4 of an A4 sheet!
Tina, I've made your stamp to and it's come out great! I will be posting this to you first thing in the morning.

Look forward to seeing the finished result - but I best make sure to bring plenty of cardboard!
Thanks for all your hard work on this Dizzy. :D
Especially when you could have been out on the Moors enjoying the sunshine and finding boxes of your own!

Thanks for that, weird though I've made the same stamp out of one large polymer sachet and the image came out better! Oh well, I might just bring the single large stamp along, still big though 110mm x 75mm!
I'm going to try and hand cut a few to bring along as well.
Cheers all, and thanks for all you ideas with this project and your right Jo, I could have gone on the moors today but I wanted to get this stamp plus a few commissions finished, there's always tomorrow!

Top effort with the stamp Dizzy. Unless the undoubted fame and notoriety which goes with making it onto the finished product changes my lifestyle, I will see you at the meet.

Well Tina, your a good customer and as you know I look after my regulars. A small portion of liquid polymer would have been wasted and I hate wastage! It's actually the image I've made of your name and logo from the new meet stamp.
Your more than welcome to the extra stamp! :D

Hi again Dizzy,
Just got back from sunny Bulgaria (not one soddin' letterbox to be found). I see you have been busy. That is one fantastic stamp. Can't wait to get it :D
