Has anyone done this walk? and noticed that box 4 "Tailard" has been replaced with "Eat the mad cow", which I assume is from a previous walk. If anyone has a print of Tailard, any chance of sending it to us to complete our collection.
Cheers

Hi MnM. I received Tailard as the Starter stamp. As should you have when you purchased the clues. It seems there may have been an error in administration.
Hello Noddy,
Thanks for replying, but no it seems we did not recieve this stamp as a starter, unless we dropped it whilst walking round the other stalls. But then in saying that, the stamp designs for this walk are quite distinctive, we think we would have remembered seeing it in the 1st place but we don't. It was our 1st Meet, and we purchased 5 charity walks that day, and we believe only the Bude Explorers Scout Group one was in an envelope, so it is quite possible that we did lose it.
Being our 1st Meet, this is also our 1st year for charity walks, well we have only been doing letterboxing in just under a year anyway, we didn't even know of letterboxings existence until we moved to Devon just over a year ago. Is it usual for a clue to state one thing and then be another then? Clue 4 clearly states "Tailard" and not "Eat the mad Cow" But it was in the exact spot where the clues lead us to, near the Army hut.
Thanks anyway, we'll just have to give the organiser a call.
Cheers
MnM

I purchased the walk by mail and received the 'Tailard' stamp with the clues. I also tend to ask for a sheet of all the stamps in case any are missing when I visit the sites on the walk. 'Eat The Mad Cow' was on the stamp sheet.
It is not usual for the stamps in the box sites to differ from clues, but it does happen. Letterboxers are human too! lol
If you do the Bude Explorers Walk then you will find that Box 9 has Canoeing and Hill Walker in it, and Box 11 has Creative Arts and Life Saver in it. This differs from the clue sheet.
I'm sure if you send away to the organisers of the Forgotten English walk, they will be only too happy to send back the starter stamp.
