Cranmere Pool stamp missing

Finally made it to Cranmere Pool today to find that the official stamp was missing . Very disappointing. I made a note of the contact details so will ring tomorrow.

Didn't have much luck with Cranmere Pool - 150 years either. I found a suspicious hole with a couple of loose stones matching the catalogue clue location/bearings, but it was windy so I could have been in the wrong place. Has anyone else found this one recently?

not but i could do you a scan of the cranmere one if you wanted the one in the metal box if you wanted it.

That's very kind. I spoke to the ranger this week and they'll put a replacement out in the next few days.
They kindly offered to send me a copy of it, which reaffirmed my faith in human nature! If it doesn't arrive, I'll take you up on your kind offer.

That must have been really annoying. Why would anyone take this?
The Cranmere 150 was missing when we were at Cranmere Pool in May.

In a way, I'm glad the Cranmere 150 box was missing - it means at least I wasn't in the wrong place.

It was very annoying to finally make it to Cranmere Pool with no stamp, but I will get a copy of it and I can say that I made it there without any real difficulty (only stepped in a bog once - at least the other foot was dry!)

In contrast, I had a fantastic day on Saturday, picking up 42 boxes and getting over the 200 mark, so you have to take the occasional bad day with the majority of the good ones
