Can anyone tell us what 9SVHB means, as on the "Trinity on the Moor" letterbox?
Or is that for us to work out?
We are new to this, so dont know if this is a common thing?
Any help appreciated!
Thanks

Sorry but without having the clue I cannot give you an answer.
Although - if you are relatively new to 'boxing' you may find it very useful to trawl through the 'Letterboxing' section and look out for 'abreviations' etc. There are a few informative posts there. Give you some idea behind the mentality of the person putting out the clue.
Back in the very early 1990`s I got fed up typing out long winded clues onto a spreadsheet, both mine and others recieved. I therefore started using abreviations - long before texting was thought of!
Enjoy your boxing and welcome to the Forum.

9SVHB WILL BE INTERESTED TO KNOW WHAT IT MEANS
But S normally means small
V = Veg
H = Highest
B = Boulder.
The above is some simple abbrev''s
but 9SVHB cannot think of anything for this.

Cannot find a clue called Trinity on the Moor - where did you see the clue????? I think its probably a waterworks stone or a telephone point, but not knowing the rest of the clue isn't much help. Are you sure its on Dartmoor?????

Follow track from waterworks, to 9SVHB, go 148p then 097* to multi limbed oak. Box below silver birch 10m away
the waterworks is at Venford Reservior, the track heads up Bench Tor towards Dart valley Nature Reserve

Hi,
According to my catalogues, the box - 14498 Trinity On The Moor , is listed in the deletions page of the Spring 2007 Catalogue.
Is it still out there? Or is someone using an out of date catalogue?

I did this clue perhaps three or more years ago; I thought it was fun in that it contained a joke wherein you hike up hill and down dale for a fair bit and end up almost where you started. But it wasn't there then and can't see it having been returned!

From memory it is the maker on a Service Valve. Not too difficult to spot along the track. It was a while a go however.!!
