I'm off to Postbridge tomorrow and walking around Stannon Tor. Have a walk of 25 boxes to do although may spy the extra one or two along the way.

Is anyone else out walking this weekend?

Will be up at Peat Cott on Sunday morning with a nav course client. Planning to head to Eylesbarrow, Combeshead and Down Tor stone row before heading back via Nun's Cross.

Good luck with the Staples and Roos Tor - sadly there are not as many boxes up there as there used to be

I've just got back after a six hour trip around the Standon Tor area. Picked up 27 boxes and had a fight with hundreds (although it was probably only really about a dozen) of flies - pesky things.

Relaxing for the rest of the weekend as was so hot out there. Very exhilarating though.

UP at Belstone common on sunday morning, introducing my in laws to boxing... Father in law "got it" and was an avid hunter from the instant he found the first box of the day.

Any one got a list of the hospice care boundary stones walk boxes... found two, but one was unreadable, First line is a short word, second seems to start with E or B and end OWS . Its nearish nine maidens, not far from the "grey weathers" box in same series. around 614 927 I guess, very close to "Belstone Belles" in a little quarry like bay.

Picked up 6 boxes in about an hour, then it got hot so we headed home.

The Hospice Charity walk is listed in the Charity Walks 2010 section of this forum along with many other charity walks that you could do to help your 'in laws' get started. The stamp you found is one for Two Burrows Boundary stone.

Many thanks for the missing words.

Havn't yet bought that walk sheet tho I probably will sometime, we tend not to "do walks" .Hunting in an area seems to work better for our young lad, he prefers clambering about on clitter to " walking".
