I suddenly realised I wont be there or the odds of me getting there are going to be pretty thin
I have a question
what's the etiquette for travelling boxes at or near the meet??
We still haven't managed to leave our " out on the moor while we are, then taken home with us" box in a location where any one else has found it and logged in. I'm wondering about bringing it with me to the meet?

My personal view on Traveller boxes is to ask, when on the moor, is ask them. And while at the meet - to keep it guarded carefully - as a long time ago it could go missing and when you got your stamp back it was usually covered in that emulsion ink. If your stamp is a particular colour then only get it out under supervision. Some people at the meet can be exceptionally heavy handed and don't care if they damage the stamp - most are ok though.
Some years back I was out on Down Tor I think and we came across a bunch of Brownies one of whom was mightily cheesed off as she had 99 boxes and they were being dragged off the moor I cheered her up and gave her my traveller to make it up to her 100! She was a very happy bunny after that

Take your Traveller to the meet - most people there will be glad to take a copy and also offer you a copy of theirs. At all the tables you will find one day stamps and travellers. Hope you enjoy the day.
